Headaches are something with which we seem to plagued intermittently all our lives. Some are more prevalent than others. Many of us suffer only from the most common type of headache. Often the most common type of headache does not have a treatment, they are all special ….
The telephone marketing company – they are a very common type of headache – they call during dinner or your favourite program on television and they cannot understand why you would like to separate their head from their bodies. This is a very stubborn type of headache which never seems to go away. You can put your details on all the ‘do not sell me stuff over the phone’ lists and they still call ….
We all love kids, (especially if they are the sort you can easily hand back …..) but there are some which when you see coming, your head starts to pound in anticipation. This type of headache tends to reoccur quite often. You don’t always have to see them to start getting your headache, sometimes you just hear them and the thought of how close they are with their new wooden toy swords to your car is enough to induce the dreaded stress headache. If you suffer from this type of headache often it is best to leave town for a quiet secluded area during Halloween!
This is a fairly new type of headache, just as you have got the kids to bed or you are sitting down for the first time that day or perhaps just after you have poured that chilled glass of wine, the door bell goes and there is a smiling lady asking you to support a charity. This type of headache is two fold, not only do you have the niggling ache at the back of your head when you realize who is on the door step, but if you send them away without signing the direct debit form, you then have the pounding two day thumping headache of guilt; how many children have died or suffered since you sent the lady away, how many could you have saved, how many kittens drowned and dogs beaten, could all this be stopped if you have signed on the dotted line …..
Finally, this type of headache is the most painful, not because it is any worse than the others, but because if you already have a slight headache, this is guaranteed to turn it into a full blown migraine – you open the door to find that if you don’t attend a certain building at a certain time you will go to HELL. Your doomed soul will be left suffering for eternity. Oh, and by the way, if you have children you could be damning them to if you are not in attendance at the given time.
Now you can see why we all have a medicine cabinet of pain killers ….. Life is just too stressful.
